Some games are shutting down my pc.

Howdy folks,
I am in a bind, about a year ago I built myself a pc, and I noticed a few of my games where not working properly, they simply shutdown my pc. Being a "fool" I just thought it was a bug and moved on and now I found a new game and set it up and everything was doing ok until it started to crash in almost every match. I updated drivers and the issue still persisted.
In the same manner every time.
First the screen would go black, then sound would stop, after which I get the "No signal" detected on screen followed by keyboard and mouse shutting off. After which the pc just stands there on but unresponsive with nothing to do but a manual reboot.
I have run about now trying to figure out what could be wrong, I even changed my old PSU just incase it did no longer have enough juice to support my setup.
So now I come here in the hopes of perhaps finding an solution.

Pc specs :
P8z77 MB
I7 3770k CPU
16GB 1950 MHz Vengeance Corsair
HD7950 3gb DDR5 Vapox-X With boost Sapphire
M4 Crucial SSD 125GB
2TB Seagate HDD
650W Pro Corsair PSU

Any help would be much apreciated

Update: Seems that underclocking the card might have fixed.
Does this mean that I need a new card ?
If so which one ?

Smite , Post apocalyptic Mayhem, Mass Effect 3, Chivalry Medieval Combat .
Those are known games to crash my pc.
I have lowered the Ram speed, no effects there either.
Clean windows install still have the same issues.
I tried to use an old gtx9800 and gave a it a small spin, PAM ran with no issues there.

What type of Shutdown is it?
1. The normal windows shutdown with the logo?
2. Just immediate shutdown with no warning (computer off)

If it is number 2, it is most likely a Power supply failure. While there could be other causes, the power supply is most likely. When the P.C isn't getting enough power for demand it can either stutter (as in performance goes down the toilet) or it just shuts down.

Since you mentioned underclocking prevented the crashing, this shows that the power supply may not be pumping enough juice to meet up with the graphic's card's demand for power at normal clockspeed.

Nah, it's number 2.
I have just changed the PSU, 3 days ago, from a 450W to a 650W and that is enough "according" all the calculators that I have used and it still crashes.

These sorts of crashes are typically heat/power related. Your PSU, if working properly, should be fine.

What are your system's operating temperatures, for both your CPU and GPU, at idle and under load?

Also, you overclocking anything (CPU, GPU, memory)? If so, revert to stock and see if the system stabilizes.

Another possible culprit could be defective memory. Have you tested yours to make sure it is working properly? If not, go here and get memtest. Burn the ISO to CD and then boot from the CD and run the full test.

Have ran a Memtest, no issues there either.
No overclocking done, all "clocking" where done from factory .
As stated the PSU is completly new, and I have tested it on friends pc about a week ago (he had a PSU issue and mine fixed that).
GPU is running at 32 on iddle and max that I have seen is 60 on load.
CPU's are running at around 37 up to 44 iddle atm.

I would try using a driver removal software, and COMPLETELY get rid of the cards driver before re installing. Also, check your RAM. Try with only one stick, if it still crashes, try with a different stick

Win 8.1
Ram is 1950Mhz if that is what you mean.
Drivers should all be updated.
But as stated Underclocking seems to have solved the issue so far, I will try and play some more of the trouble games and see if they still crash my pc.

Atm it is running at 930 Mhz speed according to CPUZ
and will do

Seems that underclocking did not totally fix the issue, so I am going to proceed with lowering the ram speed

There is also something else that I forgot to mention, this thing does not happen in all games, most of my "high end" games don't even phase my pc. It is a few specific games that do this.

Small update, I showed my old XFX GTX 9800 into my pc and tried those games having issues again, and while it did not run smoothly then it did not crash so I guess I need to find out how to RMA this card.
