Hey all,
I upgraded my GPU from 2 x Radeon 6950 to a GTX 780 Ti , I feel games should be running better than they are. I read the FX-8150 wasn't the best, as it is a few generations behind in the FX line now.
The next upgrade I want to do is get a new CPU, I wanted to get a FX-9590 but my Mobo doesn't list it as supported (Crosshair Formula V - Discontinued)
I could get a FX-8350 and OC but I'm now wanting to finally give Intel a shot.
Any suggestions on a Intel Quad core for strictly gaming? I want a powerful CPU that will be good for a few years, nothing budget. My end game is flawless gaming.
I'm working with a $600 budget for mobo + cpu
I hear the i7 are overkill for gaming as hypertheading isn't used in gaming applications, is this true?
Thanks for the advice
