Blank screen and no LEDs on motherboard

Hi,

Today for no apparent reason my pc turned off when I was using it, it then proceeded to enter a reboot loop. I turned the power off at the back and then tried again, the fans and case LEDs work but no external device (monitors, keyboard) act as if the PC has power.

I first moved the dvi connection from my graphics card to the motherboard output, still the same. Next I tried refitting the CPU and fan, still the same. Finally I have tried relocating RAM in different slots and with just 1 stick, no change. I have tried these steps with all PCI cards removed. I have also checked connections of both 24pin and 8pin CPU power to ensure they have not come loose.

I have a feeling my motherboard has given up, since there are no lit LEDs on the motherboard itself and the 'Dr debug' displays no error codes. Many people having similar problems seem to be with new builds whereas my PC has been running fine for almost 2 years. The only change I have made is replacing the stock CPU fan with a Cooler master hyper 212 evo, because I noticed my CPU running at very high temperatures. Since replacing that about 2 months ago the PC has been fine and reporting CPU temps of 30ish.

I'm wondering if anyone has some further diagnostic suggestions or can confirm that my motherboard is most likely at it's end. My only other guesses are that the power supply is not performing quite as it should, or my CPU was damaged by high temperatures and has now stopped working.

Thank you
