Do I Need A GPU For My Gaming PC

If you want to play the latest games with decent quality settings, you will need a separate ('discrete') graphics card ie GPU. Though some processors have a GPU on-board, and these are often quite capable, they will not be a replacement for a proper graphics card - this is reflected in there being no port for these on higher end gaming motherboards like the Asus ROG series (technically, the GPU is not 'exposed')

The graphics card is the most important component in speccing a gaming PC - go for an i5, 8Gb RAM, Crucial MX100 SSD, and the best graphics card you can afford

Hi, the better the GPU the better the graphic's of your games, you need to balance to have a decent amount of ram and cpu too. GPU's price range from anything between 30$ to the thousand.

So first ask yourself how much money will you spend on the GPU. From 130$ onwards you may find playable framerates.

Well you can't go wrong with any of these Gpu's Gtx 780,Gtx 780ti,R9 280x,R9 280, R9 290, R9 290x,Gtx 770, playing at 1080p everything maxed out or close to it for some cards I know I missed a lot of if cards that will be cheaper and still get the job done but if I know what settings your going to be playing at like medium to high on what monitor size for most games I could narrow the gpu list down some. At one point at a time in our lives we all was newbies keep that in mind our goal is to help.

R9 280X also has that performance, better in some games and a little worse in others. Check the price of that one too since It may be cheaper depending on where you live or shop.
