Hello‼

I'm gonna build my own computer, and need advice as to whether these specs are good or not.

Link on PC Part Picker: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NtmLFT

My main concern was that it went too much over my budget, so I changed the mobo from an Asus Z97M-PLUS to an Asus B85M-E. I have no intention to overclock anything. The Samsung 500GB HD is from the PC I'm using now.

I don't live in the US, so prices here are abusively higher than it is for you there - sometimes a 10 dollar difference between products can mean as much as a 60~80 dollar difference, if you take the final price after taxes.

Thank you very much‼

Get a non-k CPU and an h97 motherboard. Your current CPU will not work without a BIOS update on that motherboard and it is designed for overclocking, while the motherboard is not.

RAM is WAY over priced. Get 8gb 1600 mhz RAM.

Change the PSU to an XFX 650w unit. WAY WAY better quality.

I can't get the MSI Z97 here... it's cost is equivalent to what would be $400.00 for you, and I'm trying to reduce the costs - the way it is, it's a little above my price range, but I can still get it. Lowering the RAM to get that mo-bo wouldn't even cover half the extra cost, but I'll probably lower it anyway. Isn't there something similar to the ASUS Z97-A, but just a little under, and that would work? As long as I can fit in and work with what I have, it's okay, I don't have need for extra stuff. This PSU isn't available here, but the 750W 80+ Bronze version is the same price as the Corsair RM I chose.

Also, is there a difference in performance between the i5-4690 and the i5-4690k if you're not overclocking?

Thank you.
