Greetings,

I have a Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 6750 1GB GDDR5 graphic card which supports DirectX. 11 (Shader model 5.0 support), however I'm unable to play Dragon Age 2 on very high or high graphics selecting DirectX. 11 renderer. The renderer is automatically set to DirectX. 9 and doesn't allow me to choose DirectX. 11.. When I try to select DirectX 11 from the drop down menu, the note says...

"This renderer is only supported in Windows Vista SP2 and Windows 7. You must also have atleast DirectX. 10 capable video card, and this renderer is disabled if your video card drivers are older than version 11.4 (for AMD Cards) or 267.14 (for NVIDIA Cards). Selecting this renderer will unlock additional graphics details options, including tessellation, geometric displacements, and screen space ambient occlusion."

Initially when I started the game, I was able to select DirectX. 11 as renderer and very high graphics.. but later I received a popup saying ur DirectX. 11 version is 11.2 which is older, to play this game on DirectX. 11 you need to update your drivers to version 11.4.

I understood what it said, but don't know how to fix it.. Is there a way to update drivers from 11.2 to 11.4 version? or will I have to buy a new graphic card if I have to play this game on very high graphics..?

You are using massively outdated drivers.
Go to the AMD website and download the 14.4 drivers (64 bit).

Thank you for a quick reply. I will follow your instructions.. but do I need to first remove the existing drivers before downloading the 14.4 drivers? or simply download the 14.4 drivers and it will automatically override the older ones? Please advise...
