Is my Phenom II X6 1055t gonna bottleneck my GPU when gaming?

Hey,
I have a Phenom II X6 1055t 2.8 GHz
I want to buy a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti
I dont think Im gonna get bottlenecking usually, but I believe its a totally different story when gaming.
So,thats what Im asking...Am i gonna get bottlenecking when gaming?
BTW,Im gonna buy a Seasonic SS 620W PSU,so dont worry about power supplies.. :D:D

Thanks in advance

I have AM3..
But when I collect enough money,I'll buy a new mobo and an i5 4570 3.2 GHz
And I'm not worried...its a good gaming setup with 8 GB of ram...probably it cant run everything on max or ultra...but its pretty good

Should perform very well with that. As for the 660ti, aren't they phased out for the 760?

Those two are really close, but the 660 Ti I found thats a little cheaper than the 760...I originally thought of buying an ASUS GeForce GTX 760,but it think i would get bottlenecking...thats why i went for the 660 ti and i wouldnt get bottlenecking...

Meh, they perform more or less the same. Which country do you live in? In england, the 660ti is much more expensive. The 270X is cheaper here as well and performs equally or slightly less than the 760.

I live in Montenegro..on one site i found that the 660 Ti costs 166 euros......and the 760 costs 240 euros...i dont know how..but its like that...lol

Unlucky :)
How about AMD cards? They have a nice bang for the buck.

More or less the same prices like the 760...
But look...
I can stick with my GTX 650 for now...
And when i collect enough money..
New mobo,i5 ,gtx 760 or radeon 280
But currently i think i will buy a new PSU and the 660 Ti
and buy an i5 and a new mobo when i collect the money....no need for 760 or 280...

If you get the 660ti don't bother with the 760 :)
You can wait till Maxwell higher end later in the year/ beginning of next year if you are patient.

I think Im gonna buy the 660 Ti with the PSU now, collect money and buy i5 and a mobo later....

Splendid
absolutely you are doing right.

get that power supply and that card and you are golden.

I would also wait to upgrade till you can get the ddr4 boards and the new intel chipset that is coming out in six months or so.

If you are gaming on a 1080p or less monitor there is no need to go much higher. you are right at that law of diminishing returns

I run 2x 7950's and with a 1080p ,omitor it was completely useless. It was not till I bought one of those korean 1440p monitors that it all became worthwhile

also if you find a used msi 7950 the warranties are guaranteed even if you buy them used. I picked up a second 7950 for 100 here locally then sent it to MSI afte i had issues and all they do is ask for the serial number and they replaced in 2 weeks for free.

I wasnt gonna buy a new mobo and the i5 now....probably in a year or so...the DDR4 boards are already gonna be out....
BTW,my monitor is 1336x768 (highest)
