Im building a solid computer from the ground up, and seeing as this is my first ever build of this depth, I am just a tad lost on what RAM sticks are supported with this specific motherboard. Im looking into investing in either 1x 8gb RAM stick, or 2x 4gb. Either way, they both have descriptions that are a tad daunting in understanding.

The motherboard specifications for the slots and memory are:

Memory: 4x DDR3-3100+(OC)/ 2933(OC)/ 2800(OC)/ 2400(OC)/ 2133(OC)/ 1866(OC)/ 1600/ 1333/ 1066 DIMM Slots, Dual Channel, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, Max Capacity of 32GB

Slots: 1x PCI-Express 3.0 x16 Slot, 1x PCI-Express 2.0 x16 Slot (runs at x4), 2x PCI Slots

I am currently looking at these RAM sticks, but am unsure if they are compatible:

The Tridents were released back with the Ivy Bridge Gen but actually already in production for Haswell, when Haswell was released the upper end sticks 2800 and above were released...Of your list I'd got the 2x8GB 2400 Tri's, will appreciate the 16GB now, as prices will continue to rise

My CPU I am debating with is either the Intel Core i5-4690S LGA 1150 or Intel Core i5-4690K

I figured I would start out with the Motherboard, CPU, and RAM first, then head on more research for the GPU and Fans. I figure the motherboard I have is a perfectly acceptable beginning for my gaming computer, as I will not do any Hardcore graphic-excessive gaming. My only worries are whether RAM choice is acceptable, or my CPU is acceptable for it

I notice for the Trident series they run best on 3rd Gen Intel CPUs. Would this hinder anything if they were installed on a 4th gen like the one I am interested in? Im simply doing Newegg comparisons on RAM sticks and holy crap I think I've spent the most time searchign that criteria than anything else Ive searched today x.x

Here's my comparison list so far of the ones that seem reasonable:
