It's difficult to find answers about this topic (presumably because it's so new) so I've come you toms hardware community.

My first question is whether it's okay to hook two monitors up to two different graphics cards or not? I want to run an SLI set up with two g sync monitors but I've read elsewhere that you can't connect two monitors to two different cards in SLI because one is the master card, while the other is a "slave" and just provides additional computing resources.

My second question is if I only plan to game on one of the monitors and use the other for watching streams, monitoring my system, and chatting while I game do I need to have g sync enabled on the second monitor?

I appreciate any help. Thanks for reading.

G-Sync is dying? I haven't noticed. Can you elaborate? I've only seen excitement surrounding g-sync.

So how does one overcome the issue of only one DisplayPort port per card if you want to use two g-sync monitors?

Maybe you haven't noticed, but gsync is already dying, but I digress.

What your problem is the fact that not many people have tried this before. Here, this article is for you:

A list of all compatible combinations for plugging in your monitors. If its not on the list, it won't work.
