PC turning on and off, CMO button is lit up!

I moved into a new place yesterday and hooked my PC up, but when I went to turn it on it started cycling - it stays on for a few seconds and then turns off. This happened a few months ago but it somehow resolved itself. This time, however, the CLR CMOS is lit up in the back. I don't know if this was lit last time. Any ideas about what's going on?! A friend and I built this PC, but I'm not too knowledgeable in this area. I tried unplugging the power supply, holding down the power button, and trying again. No luck.

Try this:
with the power off, remove the side panel/cover from your case.
locate the front panel header wires and then the power sw connector.
with one hand on the connector for the power sw, use the other hand to power on the pc and now quickly disconnect the power sw connecter from the motherbd header.

If the pc stays on then you have a stuck power switch in your case.
