Hi guys,

I have a system with these specs:

Specs_zpsc5858ba9.png

Yesterday I installed the latest Windows Update and after rebooting the system shutdown all of a sudden without a bsod but like when you force it shut or unplug the power cord.

The shutdown is in fact logged as Event ID: 41 "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly"

I found out that these shutdown are caused by a 4TB usb drive that worked fine up until before the Windows updates (the drive was connected during the installation).

Ten seconds after I pug the drive the system shuts down.

I have other usb drives, of the same model of the problematic one and of different models, and all still work fine.
The problematic drive is also accessible in Linux with no problem.

The Event Manager shows the following Event:

This is the report of Bluescreenview:

WHAT I HAVE TRIED SO FAR

Pagefile is enabled as follows:

-I have tried to un-check the "Automatically manage paging file" but that had no effect.
You can see the other drives connected working fine.

-I have also tried to uninstall all USB controllers (I couldn't uninstall them all cause some govern the mouse and keyboard obviously) and reboot but that solved nothng.

-I also did a mem test that completed without errors.

As a last resort I did a system restore and that too had no success.

Thank you to anyone who wishes to help.

I have the same page_fauled_non_paged_area at login prompt when a certain usb stick is plugged in. Remove the stick solve the issue. Win 10 bug
