775 LGA socket, this is the heatsink\fan that I purchased. http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Socket-Heat-3-8GHz-C91968-003/dp/B000VX1D4I/ref=sr_1_18?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1404251387&sr=1-18&keywords=CPU+fan+heatsink+Intel+775 .
and my motherboard is an Intel D915GAG.

It has these weird push-pins instead of just normal screws, and when seated, it can wiggles just a bit up and down.. obviously bad but i Cant get it to go in the way. And on boot up, it will shut down within 5 seconds. (there are three stripped of preapplied thermal paste). and I could hook up my old heatsink+fan and the computer will run fine.

I used these two videos for installing, but I am wondering if it is just not compatible or something(why I gave motherboard and the socket.
