Hi there, I am looking to upgrade my machine so I can play games on the high end settings without problems, on my current rig games like Skyrim, Minecraft, League of Legends, Saints Row etc can all be victim to crashing. I would like to game at 1080p (where applicable) with video settings on high or better, far render distances and have the option to stream without too much strain on my machine. Please can someone look at what I currently have and suggest how I can upgrade to achieve this goal:

Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P8Z77-V PRO

Processor: 3.60 gigahertz Intel Core i7-3770K

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti

Memory: 16334 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory

PSU: EVGA Supernova650G Gold

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (x64)

(If I am missing anything then please ask and I will post the spec)

I don't have a budget for the upgrade, as long as it will play games with the option to stream high end if I choose to then I will be very happy.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply, my curent system plays on medium at best really, especially for Skyrim / Minecraft. I mean just today Minecraft crashed cos Nvidia got upset that too much was going on and I was just opening a chest with the settings on low - medium.

I think an upgrade must be in order. I have taken my pc to a repair shop as I thought maybe something was wrong with it but the results came back all components are in working order.

Yes if you upgrade then just upgrade your GPU. Nothing else.

Thank you and that will work with the current components? I won't need to upgrade the PSU for those cards or something?

Nope the PSU I replaced only a few months ago

Thank you all for your help, will pick up one of the mentioned cards and hopefully all will run smoothly as intended

Last question before I close the thread! I have decided to go with the GTX 780 but I am a bit confused as to which version I should get, price isn't an issue but I don't want to get the most expensive one if it's not necessary.

A quick search for "Geforce GTX 780" on Amazon is showing many variations of the same card, please advise
