friend got a new hyper 212 evo and it is running at only 500 rpm he has an i7 4770

so as the title says we picked up a new hyper 212 and plugged it in but it said CPU FAN ERROR when we entered the bios and it was running at 500 rpm and the processor was at 55 degrees c, and when my processor is 55 my 212 runs at 1500rpm so does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it we cant turn it up manually. please help need to fix this soon :??:

FIRST check that u have connected the fan to the CPUFAN1 4pin socket. Some motherboards wont even boot if it doesnt recognize a pluged cpu fan. If that doesnt work... >
if ur motherboard have 2 cpu fan input, try get it to the other one and recheck, otherwise try connect any 4pin fan to the cpu fan socket to check if the fan has issues (very unlikely).

Maybe the fan connection is shot? Have you updated the BIOS?
