I've saved up $90 and I'm looking for a good gaming headset for the PS3 under $90 I can't afford anything more than that.

I'd prefer to have a headset rather than a USB desktop mic because I have no good headphones, and I like being able to bring just one thing with me wherever I go. My PC sucks, so no PC-only headsets; I need something made specifically for console gaming.

I live in Canada if that matters.

For that price range, I suggest you take a look at either Turtle Beach or CM Storm headsets, although I'm not sure the latter brand has anything console oriented.
If you're willing to stretch higher, I heard that the Tritton PRO+ is very good and literally works on anything, but it sells for around double that value...

Just be sure not to get in-ear or foldable headsets, as the former types tend to get broken wires fast, and the latter types tend to get broken hinges.

Should you want to understand what it means to have broken hinges on a foldable headset, look for Roccat KAVE's former model (as now they released another called XTD). No matter how delicately I handled them, I changed 3 of them and sent back the 4th out of frustration...

I really liked the Turtle Beach PX21. I had it for a long time before it broke due to me dropping it at the floor after use, but then i got a new one. Lovely headset! Although it doesn't have the best bass or anything, it is comfortable and really cool for your ears and i could use it all day without any problem. Barely notice when it's on your head.

Never really had any problems with it at all until i broke it.

It has a great mic, at least it's my opinion, which is fully manuverable. The best of all is that you can use it on Playstations, Xboxes, and on your Computer but mainly it was built for PS3, so i would go for it.

Thanks a lot! Do you think the mics on the Tritton PRO+ headsets are good? I know the audio is good but I'm not sure about the mics.

The Tritton PRO+ lookd like a awesome headset, and anyone I know never had any real issue with them. They mainly come in 2 different models, as one is desktop compatible only while being more economical, and the other comes literally with an external audio card which can be used with desktops and consoles (xb360, xbo, ps3, ps4).
From what I see, also many youtubers use it.
They're solid enough and lightweight too, and if you ask me they also have a very nice and sleek look.

The mic seems to be a bit too sensitive however, at least from what I've heard, so you might have to put it lower or a bit off the nose, as it may catch up your breath.

Either way, they're very expensive, so you should take your time deciding if you really need those or not. Turtle Beach makes some very good headsets too, so be sure to sift thoroughly for reviews over the Internet before deciding ;)
