Hi all,

Please help. I have to decide tonight.

I don't know which board to pick between MSI 970a-g46 and ASRock 970 Extreme 4 for FX6300 to Over Clock.

I current have the MSI 970a mobo. I heard this board is really bad. Today is the last day for me to return the MSI 970a-g46 mobo for Asrock 970 Ex4.

I want to know if it is worth for me to spend extra money (15% restock fee for MSI mobo) for the ASRock 970 extreme 4?

I need a SLI mobo in cause I need to buy another GTX660 for SLI in the future. I also want to Overclock the FX6300 to at least 4.0GHZ. Is it possible to OC to 4.0ghz on the MSI mobo?
I heard I can't overclock the MSI mobo at all, is it truth?

I heard ASRock 970 has it's own problem. Is it truth?

My PC info.
FX6300 CPU
MSI 9701-g46 mobo
master cooler Evo,
4x2gb 1333 DDR3 ram,
XFS 550W PSU.
PNY GTX660 GPU

I really appreciate for your info and advice. Please help me to decide if ASRock 970 worth the extra money.
Thanks a million,

The ASRock 970 extreme 4 is a much better board for overclocking. Your MSI board can't even handle an 8 core properly not to mention overclocking and its known to cause problems. Definitely go for the ASRock

The Rock is a very good and popular mobo, OCs well...MSI mobos I won't even touch for builds due to their poor QC

I have a ASROCK 990 Extreme 4 and I just love the thing!!
I have had my FX6300 up to 5.0Ghz and run it at 4.85 all day long.
Not to mention the ram is clocking at 2133Mhz too.

FWIW
