Can anyone please tell me the difference between 32bit and 64bit when playing BF4? The reason I ask is because I have played the game on both options and I can not see the difference at all. The graphics memory usage is about the same and the graphics them self appear to be equal.

I have been researching this because I use MSI Afterburner to monitor my computer and if anyone else uses it or even EVGA Precision X they know that RivaTuner is an additional software installed with MSI Afterbuner. Since RivaTuner's latest update to 6.1.2 I have been unable to run BF4 in the 64bit. If I close RivaTuner and keep MSI Afterburner running I have no problems playing BF4 64bit. If I switch the game to 32bit I have no issues running RivaTuner. I use the RivaTuner so I can utilize the On-Screen Display. I know MSI has an app for the iPhone/iPad, but I like having it on my screen instead of killing my battery. I have tried this with PlayClaw 5 and I get the same results.

Also if you have any input on how to get the On-Screen Display to work with 64bit it would be much appreciated.

Here are my Specs,

-AMD Phenom II x6 1090t Processor
-16gb RAM
-Gigabyte (Nvidia) GeForce GTX 760 4gb
-Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H Motherboard
-Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit

Thanks in advance!

64bit version CAN utilize more than 4gb of ram when needed. Now since you most likely don't need it, you don't see any difference.
Actually running games on 32bit instead of 64 can be slightly beneficial on weak CPUs. So considering you're using a phenom II x6 you should actually run the 32bit version as you'll probably gain 1-2fps at times.

32-bit or 64-bit windows do not have any effects on games whatsoever. it's just the windows itself can do the calculations quicker, 32-bit is 2x slower as 64-bit. So 64-bit can get to let's say 128 in just 2 moves. While 32-bit needs 4. (32x4=128) or (64x2=128). I hope you see the difference. But bit's don't have any effects on games, as i mentioned before. Also 64-bit can utilize more RAM. (4GB)

32bit is sometimes slightly quicker in my experience. I've been doing a lot of benchmarks on systems and there are situations where aplications on 32bit run SLIGHTLY faster than 64bit. However i've only seen this on weak CPUs and windowsXP and win 7 so it might not apply on win8 or newer machines.

Thanks emdea, that's what I was looking for as I did not fully understand this concept nor was I able to find a truly solid answer anywhere.

Pony, thanks for the awesome response, but I was actually referring to the game itself has two version you can play at 32 or 64 not Windows in general.

It might depend, but that's how it is in theory. I was using 32-bit like a month ago, now i installed 64-bit (windows 7) and can't see any difference at all.
