Hey guys, I've made a pc on pcpartpicker.com and I need some help. My budget is $500 (including tax, link to tax calculator http://helpsme.com/tools/free-gst-hst-pst-sales-tax-calculator-canada I live in British Columbia) for the pc without a Graphics Card, Operating System, Monitor and Peripherals. I'm just asking anyone out there if my pc parts are compatible? Also are the parts in my build good? Feel free to recommend a better build or better parts but remember, with tax and shipping my build has to be around $500 I'll go a little higher but not by $50 or more. I live in Canada so if you're going to suggest something could please find it on a Canadian website. I will be buying a GPU in the future, probably a r9 280x. If you aren't completely set on Amd, I'd go with an Intel setup because it'll allow a much better upgrade path.

Later on you can toss in an i5 Cpu and you'll have a very solid gaming platform. In most games, the i3 will outperform the fx6300 too.

The Mobo is for business that is what the B stands for maybe change it for an H87 or Z87?

Honestly, that build is worse overall than the one I linked. There isn't any reason to spend that much for the Ram, especially when you are strapped on cash for the overall build. Ddr3 1600 will work just fine here, and saves money.

I wouldn't trust that Psu. I'd rather drop down 100w, and get a much better quality item. I prefer the case I linked for build quality and options like cable routing, but it's mainly a matter of personal preference so up to you.

One thing about the FM2+ platform is there really isn't an upgrade path for it that's worth the money. One bonus to it is you can save money while getting an integrated video card. If you are already planning on building it with a discreet video card, you've lost all reason to get that platform. Stick with an fx Cpu and 970 chipset motherboard, or go the Intel route like I linked.

Apparently many people do not even take time to read, the person said probably add a graphics card R9 280x and you all say take an i3? Honestly please, you are recommending an i3 over and fx6300 to someone who is tight on budget and will probably not upgrade anytime soon. If you want the guy to die of bottlenecks then i say be my guest. Sorry but i have to be a bit brutal here.

1. The CPU you chose is the best you can get at that price so kudos dont listen to intel dual core i3 bottleneck fans.
2. You dont need 2133 RAM, 1600 is enough you will not see the difference, but i selected a CAS 7 ram for you so you can get way better performance.
3. Use an aftermarket cooler, helps in the long run both intel and amd have average standard coolers that degrade real fast.
4. I changed both the PSU and casing. The psu i chose is a bit more expensive but it is totally worth it. The casing i chose is way better for better airflow, better customization and awesome space - the carbide 200r is good too, but the haf has more space in case you are scared of tiny spaces.

That's great and all, but there's no way for that build to output video. OP doesn't have the R9 280x yet.
