This is my first custom made NAS storage unit, it has ALOT of space I know....so I will break it down for you...(I went with 2 Terabytes since they are alot more stable then 3 or 4 TB drives)

4 TB - Movies (some are raw (straight from Video Camera)
2 TB - Music Files (I have alot of music and it is going to be in 320...)
2 TB - My Backup of My 1 Terabyte Drive
2 TB - Backup of my Other Computers 1 Terabyte Drive

Suggestions are welcome...be nice tho...as it is my first build for custom network storage.

Well....I didn't know that processor didnt have an integrated graphics....that's what I was aiming for...also it will be connected by ethernet, and i have no idea if I need 16 gb of ram or a custom cpu cooler...as I haven't built one before...thats why I asked.....also I was wondering if a dual core i3 would be enough to run it 24/7?

Ditch the liquid cooler, for an OS either windows server 2012 or freenas.

Also Look into a RAID card because hardware RAID is better than software RAID (motherboard supported RAID).

Drop the SSD down to 120 or 60gb 250 is overkill.

Okay I did not know if it would be cool enough, I thought the water cooler was a little much but hey you can never be certain....also can you point me to a good cheap raid card? The SSD is only used for the operating system, and I will be using windows 7 with remotely shared files (I already have a copy of it I am not using anyways)
