750 Ti is better but they are not in the same price bracket.
R7 265 is the AMD equivalent to 750 Ti and slightly outperform the GTX 750Ti. Though GTX is much less power hungry

Question is in the title 
for under 200 the r9 270x or the 270 for close to 150 range will give you by far the best performance of any card under 200$. it really isn't even close the 270 is same price as the 750ti but outperforms it by a very great deal and has pretty much double the specs
