Hello, everyone. I built two new gaming PC's for myself and my wife about one month ago. Here is the link to the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/nutbar/saved/37hKHx Both PC's have been working great. However, we just got back from a two week vacation, and my wife's PC is completely powerless. My PC is still working great. I have already confirmed that the wall outlet is good, the PSU power cord is good, and even her PSU is good.

Now, there is an LED on the ethernet port and two LED's on the video card, and those normally light up as long as the PSU is plugged in, connected, and turned on, even if the PC itself is off, but even the LED's won't light up. It is as if the PSU is not even plugged in. I have checked all of the cables and connections and switches and they all seem to be turned on and connected properly.

I have googled the problem, and most people are saying that it could be a bad CMOS battery, or bad mobo, or one or more of the PSU cables are bad. I'm just confused. Her PC was working fine before we left for vacation, and now it's just lifeless. I want to rule everything else out before I consider replacing the mobo. Please help. Thank you! =)

Is a dead motherboard essentially a diagnosis of exclusion? FYI, I tried swapping the PSU mobo 24pin power cable, and her pc is still completely dead, but my pc works fine with my wife's 24pin cable. Could it still be a bad CMOS battery if there's no lights, sound, or movement at all, or does that pretty much mean that it's probably just a bad mobo?
