is this desktop memory compatible with this mobo?

is this memory compatible on my motherboard Intel H57.

I currently have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147268

The one that I have is PC3-10600 and the ripjaws I want to buy are PC3-10666
What does that PC3 number mean and will it make a difference?

Looks good to me. I don't see anything wrong with the new set.

The PC3 number is a JEDEC memory standard on RAM timing.

There are many memory compatibility tests on the internet. G Skill has one that you could use to check if your motherboard is compatible with that speed.

so it does not matter if its different. The only thing that shud be same is MHz value?

1. It has to be desktop memory, not laptop or ECC server memory.
2. Has to be DDR3 version.
3. (Low Priority) RAM clock speed. The reason this doesn't matter so much is that you can underclock RAM if the motherboard doesn't support running them at their default clock speed.

Motherboard manufacturers do not list ALL RAM modules that a motherboard can support. They simply cannot list every single one because there are so many.
