i already have gskill 2 gb 1333 mhz ram can i pair it with 1600 or 1866 mhz ram to get total 10 gb ram or does it have to be 1333 mhz ram please help thanks in adv.

assuming your motherboard and cpu support ddr3 1600 it will depend on how well the jdec values are programmed into the chips. some ddr3 1600 will down clock to 1066/1333 which is normal but it may not have the same latencies. if the memory management unit cant match the latencies across all the ram it will mix and match to get as close as possible and thats where the problems start. eventually you will either damage the mmu or the ramsticks.
your best bet is just to buy new ram and sell the old on ebay.

thats not gonna cut it mate. just bangin in a random 1333 stick wont enable dual channel mode
which is where most of the performance advantage of ddr ram is.
getting 2x4gig sticks would be a better idea and scrap the original(sell it on)
