Closed loop contains all the required parts, plus the coolant and the pump. You don't have to build your own setup and mess with tubes, connecting and stuff. Makes watercooling "more accessible" to the general public, so to say. That being said, I never liked the idea of having any type of liquid close to my components, no matter of being conductive or non-conductive, no matter of warranty. A good air cooler like Noctua NH-D14 will provide great cooling without too much fuss.
