Hello, while i was playing on my new pc build that i build myself, it suddenly shut off . I am trying to power it on again but it wont start just the led power goes on for less than one second.I have checked all the connectors and they are properly connected to the motherboard. Please help.

Solution
1 long, 2 short = failure in video system.

If you can, test the GPU in another computer.

If it works there, your PSU is most likely faulty (unable to provide stable power to the card).

the components:cpu:fx 6300
motherboard:gigabyte 970A-Ud3p
psu:corsair VS550
gpu:sapphire dual-x r7 265
hdd:WD Caviar blue 1TB
ram:crucial balistix sport 8gb DDR3 1600mhz
case:coolermaster k380

This PSU is technically good enough for your system, but VS (and CX) series are not quite the best quality and tend to have more problems in gaming builds than AX,HX,TX,RM series. I would test with another PSU definitely. And if you get a new one, get the aforementioned series (550W or higher), or XFX Core 550W, Seasonic 550W+, Antec...

First unplug your PC then remove the battery on the motherboard and put it back in and restart. See if that does anything. Sometime when i overclock too mcu it wont even boot after it shuts down. Only way to make it turn on i to do what I said.

Any brand-name PSU of at least 400W, you won't be using it for anything except to try whether the system can boot or not - and it won't draw much power this way, so no worries. In fact, try with whatever PSU you can find, which actually works in another computer.

Still can't rule out the PSU. It may be fine for that other rig, but not yours. However, it is now more *likely* that it is the mobo.

This is exactly why I repeated several times to try with a different PSU on your own computer. You are now not any closer to the solution, just got more dilemmas. Clear them all by testing with another PSU. Unless you consider that removing the mobo and placing it into another case with another PSU is easier :D In situations like this, you can only try testing with a different, tried and working component.
