Dvi or vga for gaming?

i have an hp 20 inch monitor and the resolution is 1600x900. it has both dvi and vga ports. so which port should i use for gaming at this resolution?is there any difference in image quality between the two?

In theory, there should be a difference in quality (analog vs digital signal), but in practice i have never been able to see any feasible difference between the two. However, VGA is not a good pick for high resolutions, use DVI for that. For 1600x900 it is good enough, though.
