I'm about to order the parts for a new system and was unsure of what ram to get. I'm getting a 4690k and teaming it with this board ASRock H97M Pro4 LGA1150 mATX and finally jumping up to a ssd. I know from reading reviews and such that you don't really need ram faster then 1600mhz for gaming, but its only a stretch of 15 dollars aus to jump from 1600mhz to 2400mhz with different speeds scattered accordingly in the price range. With only gaming in mind with some video editing/converting aswell as media consumption is there any point buying the faster ram and what is the fastest speed I should worry about to match this CPU teamed with a Gainward Phantom 680gtx?
