I recently purchased a D-Link DE 530 PCI Ethernet Adaptor for my PC. It comes with both the Cat5 and Coaxial connections for internet access. I intend to connect the Coaxial outlet from my room to the PC instead of connecting my Cat5 cable to my Verizon Fios router. I did this to avoid having to run a long cable through my home since the router is in a different room.

The problem that I found out is that the D-Link adaptor (and coaxial components like it) have been released years before. I'm looking for a Windows 7 driver that the adaptor can run off of.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 @ 2.20 Ghz
PC: Optiplex 745 tower w/ the standard internal components.
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit
Installed RAM: 4.0 GB installed (3.0 GB usuable)

Additional components installed -
Sound card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 channels
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 5450

Thank you in advance.

This almost certainly won't work. I'm not sure what coaxial connection you have in your room or where it goes but it's unlikely to be a 10Base-2 Thin Ethernet connection which is what the coaxial port on your network card is designed to connect to.

Work like a charm!

I had to figure it out and learn how to work with the boot process, that did it!

Thanks a lot! You're a lifesaver!!!
