Hello,
An interesting query here.
I have the above installed at the top and bottom of my case. To intake and exhaust respectively.
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-013-AE
The weird thing is- The top case fan pushing air out is silent and gives a nice breeze.
The bottom fan pushing air in is quite noisy and speeds up with the load demand on the CPU....So if i run prime 95 it has a fit.... but i understand why it does what it does. The exhaust fan dosent do this however or at least not to my knowledge.
However BOTH are plugged into my Z97 Sabertooth Marked 2 directly.
I wonder why this is? I could use a voltage extension on it to quiet it down but then i find that the speed of the fan is reduced and ideally- the bottom intake fan needs to be pushing in as much as poss considering I have an SLI setup!
Any thoughts?
Cheers.
