Need Help Pc FPS Too Low For Specs

Okay so my specs are as follows

i5 4670
EVGA gtx 770 2gb
Asrock B85M-HDS
8gb ddr3 1600
750w psu

My problem is that this is a new build I bought online complete and ready to go Iupdated all of the drivers including bios but all games are showing fps lag

Borderlands 2 should run on ultra with decent frames excluding physx
but seems to have major issues even at medium settings

Fallout 3 runs like crap

so does everything else.....

Is this a new GPU? did you have another in there prior? if so, which one?

May need to clean out all traces of old drivers and perform CLEAN install.

No Completely factory new build only had running for 3 days

Are you using MSI afterburner to check your GPU usage, fps, temps, etc? To make sure IGPU is not being used instead. Have you disabled IGPU via bios?

are you running all CPU cores? via bios & via windows Boot options? just a thought. You should defiantly graph your GPU usage to check on GPU performance. Then report back.

Just install. It is used to over clock graphic cards, but also graphs usage, temperature, power, etc... You can monitor these things while you game, and monitor FPS, so you can see how low they are going during the lag/choppy graphics.

you may need to use VSYNC, otherwise your over powerful card will keep pumping out massive frame rates, which is why it is such a high usage. This happens in older less graphic intense games, like stalker, devil may cry, etc.... in my experience

could you tell your CPU temperature ? beside what are the options on your nvidia control panel ? and in game video setting you playing with ?

btw cpu temps were 30-40 degrees celcius and card running at 20-30

could be the nvidia control panel under power management mode being set to adaptive. change the power management mode to prefer maximum performance and that will make the card run at the factory clock setting without ever changing

You need to make sure every driver is installed. Use driver booster and check. Even something small can really hurt your PCs performance pardon my ignorance I didn't see whether you had updated your bios or not?
