Better OS for that PC?

I have an old PC,currently it has Windows Vista,and it loads really slow,so I was wondering,will lets say Linux,will be awesome for that PC?

Specs:

RAM: 512MB
CPU: Intel Celeron 3.30GHz
GPU: Integrated amd

Your best bet is Windows Xp, because Windows 7/8 requires minimum 1GB Ram
Windows Xp requires 64 mb ram, so it will run perfectly.
Linux is not good if you are the type who listen to music, watch Youtube and play games.
Ubuntu will be slow.

DO NOT get Windows XP there is no longer any security support for this OS so it's pretty much the worst idea. Linux distribution such as Ubuntu is very light and your system willl be able to handle it just fine.

and if you fear the "difficulties" of a linux distro, you should know that now you can get your software via an apps store and it will keep itselft up to date. Linux have never been more secure than today.
