I built my new system about a month ago now, and I'very been using the Realtek audio on the MB for my audio. It looks like this graphics card supports both audio and video. My question is,how can I utilize the audio from the graphics card? Through the HDMI connector? I'm running 3 monitors, one on the display port, one on the DVI port, and one on the HDMI port. Can I run the HDMI through a receiver, with speakers connected to my receiver, and then run from the HDMI out to the monitor? If so, how many channels of audio does the 780ti support, and if I have the other 2 monitors hooked up directly to the graphics card, will I see any lag on the monitor that's running through the receiver?

The question about pc speakers having hdmi out for passing video is common and noone makes them. Would make sense to have since hdmi is becoming standard with video cards but mainly due to motherboards only recently incorporating hdmi we might see speakers with hdmi in future.

There are plenty of decently priced surround packages for $300 or less you might be interested in that would have the connections you need, it doesn't need to be expensive at all and be same or little better quality than your average satellite speakers.

Another alternative which probably wont interest you but will put it out there anyway would be to use a HDTV with hdmi in for the gpu and use optical out which some satellite speakers will have inputs for like...

Graphics cards using hdmi have been putting out sound for a while now and the 780 can do 7.1 channels via hdmi. Receivers don't add any additional processing toward passing signals so you wont have any lag, not that there would be otherwise anyway, receivers are very direct and quick.

I'm kinda limited on space in my office and would rather not have to setup a receiver and speakers. Are there any decent quality speakers that you would recommend that would have HDMI in and HDMI out? Preferably something the size of satellite speakers? I don't think any computer speakers would work, but maybe some sort of home theater in a box? I'm used too using Sonance in ceiling speakers for my receiver or some floor standing Mirage or B&W, but I'd rather not blow $1000 per speaker for my computer, but I also don't want something that sounds like crap. Do you have any suggestions?
