Asking for help with a new xbox 360/PC headset. (Sorry If in wrong Cat.)

Right now I have the Astro A40's. They have been a great headset for both xbox and PC. I'm looking for a new one because the right ear does not play sound anymore. I was looking at the HyperX Cloud Headset on amazon because it is only $75 right now. The thing is, is that I can't connect it to my Xbox. Is there any adapters that I can buy so I can. I've heard great reviews about the headset and its a good price. If you guys have any other headset ideas can you please tell me.

P.S. My Astro Warranty ran out. Thats why I need a new pair.

do you have the astro a40 mixamp?

if yes, that can connect up to the consoles correct?

if that is the case.... you could potentially just use a normal pair of headphones.

if you attach a 3.5mm female connector to those headphones you could re-use the astro a40 mic if you so wished as it looks detatcheable but i'm not sure http://www.astrogaming.com/a40-microphone/3AA42-HBH9X-820.html if not you could either use a modmic or just use a boom mic and mod it on like the guide in my headphones sticky
