GPU clock speed seems low

Hello,
I built my pc about 6 months ago and have been enjoying it very much. Recently I've thought about upgrading my GTX 670 as it seems to only be dropping to as low as 20fps during some games such as Wildstar, when the graphics are much more than medium setting.

However after looking at the nvidia ranking charts it still seems to me that the 670 is still reasonably high up, and I would have thought it would be doing better than it is. And after running CPU-Z I can see the clock speed is at a meesly 324 MHz, which seems absurdly low given the advertised OC speed of 1058MHz? (It was meant to come pre overclocked).

It is entirely possible that I have not set something up correctly and that the low speed is down to me, so if anyone could set me straight I would hugely appreciate it :)

Thanks very much for your time it really is appreciated.

Haha yea it has to be under load, but still you are getting low performance so still might be some things you can try.

Go downlaod MSI Afterburner. You can use it to monitor your clock speed, heat, and other things while playing games. This might help cause if the card is getting too hot that could explain the poor performance. If it isn't getting too hot, you can use this program to overclock the card also and pull extra performance out of it.
