840 vs 840 Evo

I was going to buy a 250gb evo for £85 but as it is I can find an 840 (non-pro) of the same size for £76.The price really doesn't matter,but based purely on performance/software,which is the better drive?

The evo will allow you to enable rapid mode (think 1000MB/s) and the non-pro won't. :-(
otherwise there is little difference. The non-pro is also a good dependable drive. I've been running the 500gb since launch.
