i5 (2 core ) - 1.6 to 2.4 ghz with 840m (1,029 MHz)
i7 (4 core) - 2.2 to 3.2 ghz with 740m (810 MHz)

which is better for gaming ????

i7 can handle more at a time, but the i5 can handle it more accurately. i5 is generally better for gaming while i7 is better for stressful work but it still handles games great. for gaming they are the same except that i5 is cheaper. so go i5
