I have constant problems with this NAS since the beginning. it's very laggy, i hate the administration UI, it takes a very long amount of time to boot and it's often noisy.

Recently it just doesn't boot at all. it starts to boot, then at some point I hear some noise and it just restarts and goes in loop.

I have to solve it by resetting the NAS, which is time-consuming and annoying and what not. Last time it happened randomly. This time it happened because I was away for two weeks (unplugged it) and now when I'm back it doesn't boot. Before you're start saying that HD is broken, note that when I RESET it, it works fine.

1. anyone knows how to solve it? did someone else had these problems?
2. after the reset it stores all the data in a RECOVERY folder, does anyone knows how to move the files from the RECOVERY folder to a normal folder QUICKLY? it's taking a very long time to do it, if you do it via the file manager of the NAS.

Thanks

UPDATE: cannot even reset it now! When doing reset it just goes in loops again and sometimes it turns off and doesn't restart. there's no logic in this device..

UPDATE: if I don't connect the network cable then it's not restating. The moment I connect the cable the problem starts.

Solution
I wouldn't risk troubleshooting it inside the device at this point. Pull the drives and test them to isolate the issue to the NAS controller/power supply/software
If the drives are fine, then make clones and continue with getting a replacement NAS. If the replacement doesn't work with the original drives, then troubleshoot the software.
If that doesn't work, recover from the drives independently and migrate to a fresh system.
