Hi guys! I see there are a ton of ram compatibility threads on this forum so I apologize for another one. I have an ASUS P7P55-lx mobo and I bought some new ram so I could go from 4gig to 8gig. I bought G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL from new egg and it arrived today! I took out my old ram and placed the new ram in the exact spots and now the computer won't boot past the windows logo... I fear I may have bought in compatible ram, I swear I thought everything checked out. Or is there something I need to change in the bios? Thanks in advance for all your help, you guys are great!

When you enable XMP - it can read 2 different profiles from the sticks, Profile 1 is the standard spec timings, Profile 2 is more enthusiast oriented, (slightly better performance, but not always usable without voltage adjustments
