Crossfiring different branded cards

So, my question is can I Crossfire two (2) R9 270s when one is an XFX Brand and the other is a Sapphire Brand. I currently have the Sapphire one and there's a good deal at a local place on the XFX version. Will it work?

As long as the chips are from the same family (in your case R9 270s), they can be Crossfired. Brand does not matter. Memory will not be combined, so keep that in mind.

@aklaubur is correct. You can CrossFireX the two cards.

There is one other check before determining compatibility before purchasing the new card. What is the make and model of your power supply?
