hdd.
the ssd part of the sshd is only 8gb and only the drive decides what it caches in there. so unless you are accessing the same files on this drive over and over its likely that you wont use it.

If you really want to though, then I suggest getting a small ~32gb ssd and using intel rst to cache the hdd instead.

Thanx I will go with a reliable hdd to go with my ssd. I need space for backups and old games as well as alot of videos and pics. I will make the ssd my main drive. Do you like crucial(m500/m550) or samsung 840 evo. 750 gig of course.

^^This. It's kind of funny, I too have Samsung only and recommend Samsung, but lately I'm wondering if there isn't some better stuff coming out.. then Samsung released the 540..

I like the Samsung evo 840(750 gig) as well. I want to use it for a primary drive. me thinks it will last 4 to 5 years before noticeable degrading. I will not use all of it for trim and wear level purposes. I read up on ssd's and the common idea is to get one a llittle to big and you will get more life out of it I guess I will accompany it with a Seagate E.3 constellation 3 or 4TB. maybe even a barracuda.
