Bf4 seams to get really bad frame rate for me. I have two PC's one has 4 gb's of ram, the other one has 8 gb's and for some reason the 8 gb one is getting horrible frame rate on BF4, compared to the 4 gb one which is getting 60 fps on ultra. I also have a internal drive on the 8gb one, and bf4 is installed on this external hard drive. So is installing the game on an other drive other than C: bad?

Depending on which HD 5800 gfx card you have*, and what resolution you are trying to run BF4 at, those specs are pretty light for the game. It sounds like you may need at least a GPU upgrade. That is a graphically demanding game.

Then (not knowing which 5800 series card you have), I would say you need a GPU upgrade. Or turn down your settings. Here is a comparison with BF3 and the top two 5800 series cards. And BF4 is much more demanding than BF3 was.
