so sometimes my computer hangs but only when i try to open a page in google. like il try to open a page and il get the loop thingy where it tries to load the page but it dosent. then google chrome dosent respond and programs i try to open dont open. then il wait a couple of seconds and everything will open eventually. the weird thing is that it, my system only hangs when i try to open google pages. i rma'ed my cpu but one i recived back was a little chipped in the corner, is it possible that my cpu is the cause of the issue? oh and btw this only happens rarely my computer never hangs when i play games and such. oh also i can move my mouse when nothing responds for a couple of seconds.

By the sounds of it, it's a software issue more than anything.

You could try running some stress tests and monitoring frequencies and temps, but I doubt it's throttling.

Most likely either a glitched Windows, or some kind of virus.
Although my best guess would go to your hard drive needing a defrag. Do you have an SSD?

Oh and don't worry about the chip... chip. If it's on the metal then it's not much issue. The CPU die is located underneath and mostly only in the very centre.
If on the PCB, it should be okay, providing it hasn't harmed any of the pins.
