hey guys just wondering who has their cpu overclock with the same build as mine. or has anyone ever try over clocking the cpu 3930k around 5mhz. let me know please thanks i have mine at 3.8mhz atm but i know i can push more but i just don't know how to get started.

5.0 GHz is only achievable on the upper 5% of processors.

All CPU's are different. A multi-core processor can only perform as fast as it's weakest core. Each has it's own unique overclocking characteristics, voltage tolerance and thermal behavior.

There are no guarantees. Unless you have the time and resources to test several 3930K's and pick out the best overclocker, it's just the luck of the draw.

i see, i just looked in youtube and i follow someone who had the same mb and cpu so i just follow his set up and was able to go to 4.7 but i seen ppl get 5mhz. i will probably mess around with it. i know my liquid cooling can handle most of the heat.
