Windows 7 64 bit showing only 3,12 GB of Ram 4GB installed.
Motherboard biostar 945gc-m7 te, gpu ASUS gt630 2GB.
So Windows is not showing 3,12GB usuable (out of 4GB installed) but it's showing like I got 3,12GB installed. The rest 0,88GB are not showing anywhere except on CPU-Z.
Also previously I had a geforce 6600NX video card and I had 3,25GB RAM on 32 bit windows 7. When I swiched to the gt630 video card I had 3,12GB RAM even on the 32bit windows.
Help!

Interesting. The 15-16MiB hole is for ISA cards, and your motherboard does not have an ISA slot. The purpose of the option is the same, to remap memory that is being clobbered by memory mapped IO, but the PCI hole is many times larger than the ISA hole (several hundred megabytes).

You may wish to send Biostar an email. They're not the most competent company around though, and their boards are...

I noticed my wife's laptop had the same problem. It was running a 32Bit windows 7 ultimate. I installed the 64 bit version and now it recognises the full 4GB RAM. Check the system type to be sure you are running the 64Bit version Win 7 OS. Right click computer, select properties, the OS will be listed under system.

Hi, this may be caused by the legacy PCI slots on your motherboard. You should be able to recover the missing memory by enabling the "memory hole remapping" option in your BIOS setup.

I checked in the BIOS and there is something memory hole which is disabled under advanced chipset, but I don't know if it's the same memory hole remapping that you are talking about. I don't wanna mess something up in the BIOS.

That's the one. Enable that and you should get your memory back

It's "memory hole at 15m-16m". I enabled it and it didn't work. Computer>Properties still shows 3,12GB RAM.

Here are some pictures of my BIOS maybe someone will know where memory hole remapping is
