I actually haven't heard that they are loud? Compared to what?

They are segsy though, and slightly better performers. Noctua DH15 would be my second choice, but the 100i goes on sale for 89$ on amazon regularly.

If you going to spend that much for a cpu cooler go with a H80i. An H100i doesnt fit in the case but the H80i is perfectly sufficient to cool off the cpu since its a thick rad. And either case is fine and should accomadate the cooler you choose they're both pretty big cases

I like the air coolers because at some point I am going to do custom loop. I may go with the phanteks instead of the noctua tho. I also like the component cooling from an air cooler.I am still in the reaerch phase tho.
