Is it true I can only clock the memory at 1866 in this build I just ordered the parts for?

I've read many different things regarding the speed of ram. I got high speed ram because I got an APU. I read somewhere that that apu can only work with ram up to 1866 MHz. I've also read it's completely dependent on the motherboard. If anyone knows could they please tell me? Also it would help if you could tell me the settings I have to put it on to make it 1866.

Solution
APUs generally like faster DRAM, try it at 2400, if no joy drop to 2133, may require a OC of the APU and and increase in the CPU/NB voltage (which feeds the MC (memory controller))
It is motherboard dependent, that motherboard should be able to overclock to 2400. Not saying the RAM will go that high, but you can choose that high. The CPU only supports 1866, but it is not CPU dependent. That memory should go all the way to 2133 without too much trouble or grief. Not sure about what settings to choose, XMP should set everything at 2133 with the right timings for you.

Ok thanks, but will it harm the CPU if I run it at 2133?
