hi guys
I am going to build a gaming pc soon so I want to know that is amd fx-6300(6-core) processor enough for gaming??
planned configuration-

1. amd fx-6300(6-core) processor
2. MSI AMD/ATI R7 260X 2GD5 OC 2 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
3. Kingston HyperX DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) PC RAM
4. Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P Motherboard

I want to play modern games like bf4, crisis 2, 3, far cry 3, assasins creed, nfs rival, watch dogs etc.

Get the intel core i3, it performs equally-better than the FX 6300. Plus if you get a H97 motherboard and a i3 4130 you can upgrade to an intel core i5 or i7 without spending another $150 to get another motherboard.

ok but how is it better than fx-6300. it is dual core and fx is hexacore and most of the modern games like crysis3 and upcoming games like cod advance warfare needs multi core cpu

Yes it can and you can overclock with it with a decent cooler.

Has a great 8+2 power design.

Can easily handle 8320 or 8350.
