Awful performance in Arma 3

I was trying to play Arma 3 earlier but no matter what I would have like 24 fps. Even on the low preset. I have a GTX770 SC w/ACX cooling and in no other game do I get poor performance. Help?

Your not the only one that game is so horribly optimized i get like 10 fps in 800x600 resolution. Im starting to think its using Crysis 2 engine or something

Not much of a surprise. ArmA 3 is badly optimized. You can search for guides in the steam forums to run this game a little better.

2GB of VRAM just allows you to turn up the textures a lot more and the resolution. It doesn't affect performance otherwise.

No, I don't think that CPU is going to affect performance either. It's good enough to hold up a GTX 770.

Like I said, no surprise there. People with a 4770k and 780s get bad performance on those games. The game is just really badly optimized.

Well, the high end cards can't deliver the performance they should when playing this game. It isn't running the way it should be. Take other games, for example. Games like Crysis 3. I'll agree that ArmA 3 is also a good looking game, but when you compare performance, it's no match.
Games like Crysis 3 was optimized well, because even low/mid range cards are able to deliver good enough performance and at playable frame rates. But then, when you take a look at ArmA 3, it just doesn't run at the same speed we'd expect it to. Neither does turning down the eye candy result in good FPS.

No, for this particular game and DayZ, it isn't worth it.
