Hey guys,

I'm having a problem with my dual channel configuration. For some reason (I hope someone can explain to me) I cannot run dualchannel mode.

Heres my CPU-Z .txt file for more information.

Hope you guys can locate the problem and a possible solution.

Dear lord, all that junk! :)

You can only have dual-channel if the memory modules in the slots are matching. The first two I saw in your config was a 4GB and a 2GB Dmodule, that would disable dual-channel.

Thank you for the quick reply!

It was my understanding that Dual Channel would work, as long as the pairs of RAM was identical. I thought the slots worked independently of each other.

Next question, what would be the best choice gaming wise. Settle with the 2x4GB PC3-14200 and run dual channel or keep the current configuration, keeping the 2x2gb pc-10700 and having a slower 12gb total?
