Hello

I have a 4 to 8 pin power adapter for the PSU. I was reading some other posts and from what i understand With an adapter it's not recommended to go on heavy loads. So my question is can i run my PC on heavy loads without worry?

My PC specs:
motherboard: ASRock z77 extreme 4
Cpu: Intel i5 3570k 3.4 GHz
RAM: 8GB kingston 12800 CL11
GPU: ASUS geforce GTX 660
HDD: Seagate Baracuda 1TB
PSU: Chieftech gps 500 a8

Solution
Then you should be fine, the additional pins are only there to supply extra power to make overclocking more stable. As long as you don't overclock, you should have nothing to worry about.
